Abbott and Costello always worked better over radio and TV then they did in the movies. W.C. Fields is a hard sell because you REALLY have to let a lot go.
Laurel and Hardy were my favorite comedy team other than the Marx Brothers in movies. Oliver Hardy had a gift for breaking the fourth wall without saying anything. Jack Benny could do the same thing except the longer he was quiet the funnier he was. George Burns once said Jack Benny got the biggest laughs by saying nothing then any other comedian he knew.
Out of curiosity, have old time radio shows made it you either Youtube or podcast. I know some of the older children's shows have, I was curious about that part. I was a fan of many of them when I was much younger and I'd like to know if the internet has done something for them.
