Adam McKay gave up being an entertainer years ago. Now he writes polemics. He said in a New York Times article that the entertainer closer to him on the right is Aaron Sorkin. i WAS so outraged by this I wrote not one but two articles about this.

I think its worth reading because it does sum up who they are. For those of you who don't have the time, here's the summation:

I have my problems with so much of Aaron Sorkin's politics through television, but at least in the movies he's truly brilliant and can make unfilmable subjects comprehensible and fun. McKay doesn't care about entertaining. He wants to prove his point and in that case he's less fun that Michael Moore or D'Nesh Dsousza (sp)

I have no intention of watching Don't Look Up. No one can disagree with his message but he's not interesying in even giving one. He's interesting in berating everybody. He has nothing positive to say, no political ideas, no solutions. He's not even as clever as he thinks he is and he;s certainly not entertaining. I'm frankly he got so many bankable stars to appear in a movie that sounds frankly less ambitious then Hudson Hawk and not even anywhere near the camp vaslue.

After years of laboring for love in my blog on TV, I have decided to expand my horizons by blogging about my great love to a new and hopefully wider field.
