After the Passion of the Christ was released to great acclaim in 2004, the Pythonites released a new Life of Brian in theaters. Needless to say the Christians still didn't have a sense of humor. Didn't help matters that Brian was still the more historically accruate film. Like Dogma, it is heretical, but it isn't blaspehmous (Cleese said as much) He also said cheerfully. A thousand years ago we'd have been stoned to death for making this film.
