And who would you replace Joe Biden with? Just who is this candidate who would save us from Trump in 2024? Seriously. Who. Don't say anybody. Don't say someone younger. Say someone who can, in four months can rally the party, not isolate the monderates and independents, not make it look like the party is in a disastrous state and then beat Trump. Because the last time we faced something like this was LBJ in 1968. In that scenario, which was a different time I grant you, the party chose a candidate that the left did not want, there was rioting in the streets that made so much of today's work look tame and the left decided to sit out an election because they believed, in their heart of heartsl, that there was no difference between Hubert Humphrey and Richard Nixon. For the record if you talk to many people from that era - many of them in their hearts still do.

If you truly believe that Joe Biden stepping down will do anything but create a new and just as bad set of problems for the Democrats in November, then you are either blindlingly stupid, hopeless naive, or just selfish because this is some version of what you truly wanted all along. I think its a combination of all three, considering that is what I've come to expect of so many people on the internet who think they know enough about politics because they seen the People's History of the United States on Tik Tok. BUT MAYBE I'm wrong. Maybe you left out who your successor fro Birden should be because there were so many electable options that you either thought we knew them all or didn't want to list them. I assume that will be in your follow=up article: Who can replace Biden and beat Trump in November. I await that publication eagerly in the next week. Otherwise stop pontificating and start accepting reality. What am I saying? You're a leftist commentator? Reality is a concept you can't grasp.
