Did you know that the reason people in fashion want their female models to be skinny was though they could save money on fabric to cover them? Women have been paying for that economic decision ever since, and I bet if you asked any of them they regretted it, they'd shrug.

For a world that has such an obesity problem, I can count the regular characters I've seen on broadcast television in the past decade that are slightly heavy on both hands. Female OR Male. Say what you will about Peak TV, at least some of the characters on cable or streaming are allowed to be overweight or ugly. I really hoped that once Friends ended we'd be past the beautiful, skinny people on television phase. Boy was I wrong.
