Grant has been going into darker territory for quite some time. He deservedly received Emmy nominations for his work as villains in A Very English Scandal and The Undoing, and should have won for the latter. He also managed to use that oily contempt to prime effect in The Gentlemen, a man who attempts to blackmail Charlie Hunnam and keeps getting outplayed even when he thinks he has the upper hand. I would gladly have Grant get an Oscar nomination. He's aged into one of our greatest perfomers.
