i CAN ASSURE you Penguin that the left in my country are idiots. Not even the useful kind, but the self-righteous kind. The young protesters who couldn't find Israel on a map before or in many cases AFTER October seventh but somehow know that this is a genocide and that Israel is using its liberal freedom in the Middle East world of fundamentalism as a false flag to show how truly racist they are. Where these ia a magazine called Jacobin for American Marxists that had an art section where they praised Gene Roddenberry's visiion for Star Trek but reminded us that for all his creative genius he was a capitalist. The former editor of the publication now edits the slightly more reader The Nation, which has brought us Noam Chomsky and Eric Foner going out of their way to show us how imperialistic the West has been since time began and yet somehow ignore the Soviet Union. The left that thinks that Trump was a monster when he couldn't condemn Charlottesville and yet celebrate those who march for Palestine even though From The River To The Sea is basically the International version of what they were chanting there.

I have written a lot about Progressives, mainly from a historical standpoint in our country (you might want to read my articles on third party Progressive runs for some enlightenment) and there is a trend in them going back a century at least in America. They are great when it comes to ideas that lead the pack but there are always fewer people that agree with them then they want to acknowledge. First they left the Republican Party in the 1920s and it srarted its inexorable move towards the right. Then they went to the Democrats for a while but when the Cold War came along some of them found the policies too strict and they left the Democratic Party. They've spent the better part of a half century not participating at all in the electoral process, deigning both parties equally horrible and saying voting is a suckers game. And for the last decade they have spent a lot of tiem and energy reminded all of us how the Republican Party has spent the last half-century becoming facist while they were, apparently, taking notes and keeping great detail for the sole purpose of saying I told you so and to absolve themselves of any responsibility. Hell, many of the best and brightest on this blog have expended a lot of energy reminding us of this on a daily basis while remaining coy on what we can do to stop or even if they vote.

In America the left wears its arrogance as a banner, saying they are for equality while shitting at every opportunity on those who live in red states, don't have a proper education or bascially are dumb enough to believe the right-wing propaganda. Then they're somehow bemused why they aren't more popular with the public. Penguins will start flying south in the summer before they acknowledge that someone who votes for a Republican is even a human being. But don't tell any of them they're bigots - they're just telling the truth.
