I have a sinking feeling that, at least when it comes to so many of the young anti-Israel people, they genuinely do not understand what they are saying. There is some major disconnect between the fact that so many of these minority groups genuinely seem to think that a fellow minority (and far too often in their minds that means non-white) must always be the one that is the wronged and that the majority (which in their mind is equated with whiteness in power) is always wrong. The fact that so many women and LGBTQ seem to be supporting a group of Palestinians - which involves Islam, a religion that they consider repressive ANYWHERE else - involves a kind of thinking I can not comprehend. Is it just based in the idea that the minority is always right and the fact that because Israeli's are the majority party there - but a minority everywhere else in the world - that Israel must be completely and utterly wrong with no room for nuance? This makes no sense in any world but that of the extreme left - and having spent more time among them than I want too, that is why they can see it that way and not see the contradiction.
