If the last year has taught me anything, it is that it shows that for many progressives the values they claim to espouse are just window-trappings for a different kind of exclusion and bigotry. It is overall an intellectual one that looks down on the West, cherry picks facts and deconstructs all institutions and offers nothing in return. It has no use for democratic institutions in any form and thinks that the freedoms and rights we enjoy in the West as opposed to other nations like many in the Middel East are not actual freedoms because they are tainted irrevocably in the bigotry of how they were founded. In the minds of many, America is born in sin because the founders didn't have the valued of the 21st century and the fact that they didn't live today is just an excuse. They are as selective in their outrage as the right is but are determined to say they are on the side of righteousness.

I'm here offering support because I'm looking for sane people on this site and you appear to be one of them. I see also that you're relatively young but unlike so many on this site have an open mind. Good for you. We need more people like you in every field.
