I always love how nothing in the world can ever be perfect unless it has true representation. This article is, for the record, the definition of clickbait. In other words it's fine to get rid of the white savior trope as long as it's for black people. When its anyone else we must be included everwhere.

And seriously are you actually JAPANsplaining history to a series that was written and produced by Japanese actors and performers? Do you have the gall to say that you know more about the history of feudal Japan - really Japan in general than native Japanese? I guess I was wrong, same as the role of the young leftists to explain the history of Israel to Jewish people

But what do I know? I am a white, cis man and therefore unqualified to comment on anything at all, even being a white man. Naturally I am an opressor who understands nothing about how the world really works. Because all white men are racists, no matter what they say or do, they are all misogynists no matter what they say or do, and they all homophones, no matter what they say or do. Really we should all just move into our own section of the country and get out of the way of the REAL aemricans like yourself who know more about Japanese history then you know the Japanese.

If the series doens't have africans (as it probably won't) you can speak with righteous indigination about the, whatever the Japanese equivalent of whitewashing of history is has prevailed. If by some miracle it does, then you can say that it is historically accurate and be hailed for seeing the future. Either way, you can write another article, get all the clicks you want.
