I see a lot of people like you on this blog but rarely those who have thier own publications. So I want to express this with all sincerity and the certainty that you will either not respond at all or resort to name calling.

I've seen Fox News and their increasingly racist propaganda masquerading as television. I've hear the talk of the far right polititcians starting with 45 and going on down. I've heard the election deniers, the talk show pundits who claim thier just asking questions.

I prefer them to you. At least with them people know how racist there are and ignore it at their peril. But people like you are a special breed because in your heart of hearts, you don't know how racist you are.

Oh I know you're defending the racist rhetoric of the white supremacist culture and you walk with the angels. Bull. You have no more use for them or anyone else. Articles like this and your backlog I've read it is just a shadow for your special bigotry towards the other that you and you fellow leftists all have.

You see you show the same contempt for democracy that the right does. You just go about it differently and I have to say, badly. See say what you will about hte manipulations the right has doen to the electorate through social meida and news networks and the Fedderalist Socety but they put the work in. They played the long game. And they're good at selling their snake oil to the unwitting public.

You and your ilk? You don't even have snake oil to sell. You don't have a message, a concrete enemy or straw man to use to rally your troops. yOU'RE too high-minded for that. Too convinced in such catchphrases as 'white supremacist nation' or 'the evils of the west' or my personal favorite 'on the right side of history' And as a result you and so many like you going back to Garrison have no ability to win over the masses. So your 'successes' are moral victories not electoral ones. There have been more successful far right parties in the history of America then there ever have been far left ones and that's because of messaging. The right has one - a horrible one, but an effective one. Its been two centuries and your still preaching the same old song: the system is broken. We don't need to compromise our view points. Even to vote, much less run for an office and compromise is demeaning.

So enjoy these articles. Speak to your little collective. Be a moderately big fish in a pond that has never gotten bigger. It's all the power and influence you'll ever have over the discussion. And it's not because of the flaws in the system - it is flawed I fully acknowledge that - but because you can't get off your ass and get out of the classroom or your office. If you did, which I don't think you do, you'd see that we live in the real world. And in that world, unless you're willing to do something more than rant and argue that both parties are broken and how doomed we are as a society, then you're just going to spend your life shouting at the rain and saying they should've listened to me. I'm sure you'll do that anyway. You and everyone in your circle always does. But I assure you these meaningless articles will do nothing to lead to solutions and barely work as therapy. The grass roots organizer for the Democratic Party in Montana has more power than you ever will and I respect them inifintitely more.

And for the record, if you've writeen an article saying you plan to leave the country in 2024 - as I've no doubt you have every four years - do us all favor. Do it. And leave solving the problems of this nation to those of us who actually live in the real world and not the ivory tower you do.
