I think you misunderstand. I don't know how many articles of this author you've read. I've read dozens before I gave up. The article I posted this critique on was the last one I did and it was several months ago. This author has no ideas. She - I'll assume that's a pen name - has one idea which she had written hundreds, if not thousands of variations on over several years. They are all essentially variations on the same tired theme. One that I had to separate myself from because there are so many people on this site harping on for the last several years. They all the same thing - sometimes they talk about the political world, some times religious, sometimes gender - but they are all the same article. The world is doomed beyond recognition. There are no solutions, short term or long term. We are heading towards oblivion and there's nothing anyone can do. Then the next day they write another article saying the exact same thing with a different context.

This is a trend known as doomporn. I spent far too much time and energy trying to figure what this person's motive was when its simple. Like so many of the people she badmouths, she capitalizing on outrage. She doesn't care if you agree with her or disagree with her. All she wants is for you to read her work, like it, and comment on it. She doesn't care if you hate her or like her. She gets paid either way.

I gave up posting on her columns because I realized the gimmick. I don't think she's an actual person and honestly I'm past the point of caring. The whole reason I told you that I didn't think she was real was because by posting like this, you're basically given this writer - whoever they are - more money.

There are enough talented rational and sane writers on medium to read. Frankly I wasted far too much time and energy trying to get a reaction from those I considered 'Kooks' . I was hoping to engage in civil discourse, then I tried to provoke them, finally I figured I was spending too much energy and basically decided I was better off ignoring them altogether. Every so often, I peek in on their work and occasionally comment to point out the hypocrisy. I haven't done so in a long time.

As I said there are writers on this blog with similar philosophies but who are sane and calmer. I prefer to spend my time with them. I advise you to do the same.

This is my final word on the subject. I'd prefer not to keep beating this particular dead horse as its well past the glue stage.
