I want to tell you I have spent much of the existence of social media never on it. I have never tweeted, never used instagram, any of the chats and only use Facebook to post links to my articles here. I refuse to do so for whatever Twitter is now on general priniciple and I have little doubt it's cost me a lot of time building up my followers on medium as a rule.

i THINK it's clear I've missed nothing during this period and that it has been rotting the brains of every single person on the globe whose ever spent more than five minutes on it in their lifetimes, which in my opinion is ten too many.

I believe more than anything else the internet has destroyed rational thought like its, well pretty much destroyed everything else. (i'm well aware of the irony that I'm using it to express that thought, I don't need to be reminded of it.) My opinion has always been any thought that can be expressed in 140 characters or less isn't worth expressing. If you think a hashtag can bring about social change, you're deluded. In my book you have to do something other than get millions of views on TikTok to be famous. And if you think that updating the constitution or social policy should be as simple as updating your iphone, then you seriously need to start reading a book. I would be proud to be a social justice warrior. But if you think that fight can be one solely on social media then you're not qualified to fight it.

A humble remark to all those on who think they are striking a blow for justice by choosing to slander someone who has a different point of view from there's. I can imagine some of you are loading your slingshots right now. By the way, the world is a cruel and horrible place as you well know. If something you see on TV or read in an article triggers you, well, to put it simply, real life doesn't come with trigger warnings. Grow the hell up.

After years of laboring for love in my blog on TV, I have decided to expand my horizons by blogging about my great love to a new and hopefully wider field.
