I was actually planning to write about anarchism in a different article so thank you for sparing me that much. There's a larger reason that such movements as socialism, anarchism as well as most leftist movements have, for all intents failed, in America.

It was easier for revolutions to take place in Europe throughout the 19th century - the Anarschist movement was more successful there generally as well as the socialist movement that led to the Communist revolution - because in those cases, there was a head to cut off. A king, an emperor, a ruler. The reason that anarchism and its followings have never succeeded in America - and despite the left's best arguments can't - is because there is no one single individual in charge of 'the power structure' that the left constantly rails against. McKinley was the closest that came to working, in that sense, but TR himself was nearly the victim of an assassination attempt twelve years when he was running for President on a progressive platform. No single assassin can bring down the one percent.

Luigi Magione is part of a wave of violence against corporate CEOs along with the threats on various supreme court justics. But those who try to make Magione in a hero are, frankly, as sick and twisted as he is. If anyone truly thought that killing the head of one insurance company was going to bring about universal health care, they are deluded. If all the mass shootings have done nothing to scare the gun lobby iin to bringing about gun control, then there is no slaughter of an insurance CEO is going to convince them to change the health care system. Grreta Thunberg is not going to signle handedly bring about reform to climate change nor will eco-terrorism. And there's no conservative or Republican leader you can take out that will single-handedly change the conservative mindset, much as some people hope and pray.

All of these people are simply deluded idiots with mental trauma and the people who openly root for them to succeed are suffering from a greater delusion and a deeper sickness. For all of the arguments those on the left will make, America is not Syria or North Korea or Belarus. And as we found out in so many other countries that are dictatorship, once the strongman goes down there is no guarantee of a better future. The Bolsheviks thought that they'd be in for a better Russia once the Tsar was gone and less than five years later Stalin was in power.

America is not a police state much as the left really wants to make that argument. I believe a lot of their rage is because leftist political parties throughout America's history have never been successful on their own: from the Socialist party of Eugene Debs to the Progressives of Henry Wallace to today's Green Party. What the left doesn't like - really hates - is that they've never been able to make a takeover off one political party the way the conservatives have of the Republicans. That's their own fault, but they'll blame everyone but themselves. They have no appetite for electoral politics and they don't have the stomach for revolution. So this cheering of Maginone's murder - which last I checked IS mostly coming from the left - is their pathetic attempt at leading a charge. Marching and demonstrating - often violently - is the left's default because they have no patience for any other part of politics.

Good writing and I may follow up on this in some articles of my own later.
