Ignore the guy who has no use for moderates and centrists. They believe that anyone who moves to the center is actually moving to the right.

You are, as you might expect, completely and utterly right. The Democrats have more than willingly been able to embrace the elitists and mANY of them are proud to be leftist elitist. They will gladly be a perpetual minority party if it means they are a party of minorities. As long as those people are the smart ones they ahve no use for the dumb ones. And the fact that there are many Americans who can't afford to go to college because they live in poverty, they made their bed by decided to live in a red state or votE Republican. For a party that claims to be about making things better for them, when it comes to people they disagree with - which is anyone who either votes Republican or dares question any part of the leftist agenda, not muutALLY exlclusive but close - they deserve to suffer because they can't lift themselves up by their bootstraps. tHE First Gen Z convgresman used that line of Colbert and didn't see the connection.

They are proud of their arrogance and prouder still of who they drive away by their rhetoric. I really do believe the left would rather be right than be President or hold any power at all as long as they knew they were right. They are proud to be elite and in eight years their closing argument has been: no sane person would vote for Trump. That is for the record, the exact same argument they used for W, Reagan and Nixon and basically every other Republican.

I will be writing about this in various historical series over the years because as I've learned multiple times the left has prefered to rewrite history to fit its agenda and is just as willing to cherry pick as the right is when it suits their needs. But you are right except for one detail. The left believes in this elitist argument and the Democrats have decided to embrace that part of it rather than go back to its working class roots. And believe me the people on this site will be pissed. Ignore the loudest ones. They either didn't vote or voted for Jill Stein. Trust me.
