I'm glad to hear this. The people on this blog are generally level-headed and good-faith (at least when it comes to artistic merits).
I'm not like so many critics who denounce Ip or box-office films just because its IP of Box Office. But the fandom (and the word fanatic never had a better use) has always baffled me. I plan to write in the next few weeks a retrospective on Battlestar Galactica's 20th anniversary (SciFI) because in many ways I consider it the first real case of the internet going insane over changes of a 'beloved cultural insitution'. We didn't feel the full effects for a while but there were harbingers. That's one of the major reasons I'm glad the planned reboot at Peacock has fallen through (the rest I'll explain later)
