I'm going to block you on your next rant to save myself the time and energy because I should no better. I want to thank your for responded to my criticism with the calm and rational dialogue that I always get from the left. Interesting that every time I say that leftists respond to criticism by name calling and shit-talking, they respond by name calling and shit-talking.

I could answer this by pointing out that I've read so many books by Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky telling me that the Revolutionary War was fought by the rich not wanting to pay taxes rather than a desire for liberty. I could point out that there were abolitionists like William Lloyd Garrison who thought the Constitution, being a racist document didn't have to obey it and therefore participating in the political process to end slavery was not something they should do. I could point out that many abolitionists actually thought that the two sides were so intractable that it would easier for the South to secede and let all the slave owning states stay on one side. I could argue that suffragettes like lUCRECIA Mott didn't think the right for women to vote was necessary - Lizzie thee will make us ridiculous, that the suffragettes were divided for decades over whether African-Americans, their allies for years, should get the vote before women and that many suffragettes tried a Southern strategyr that isolated African-American women to try and win white votrs in the south. And I could argue that at the 1964 convention, many African-Americans were angry when MLK and Bayarrd Rustin negotiated a compromise over Mississippi in order to elect LBJ that led to a divide in the black movement even thought Goldwater had voted against the Civil Rights act. In fact, I HAVE written about many of these things in my own articles over the last year.

But I know that when it comes to the left, you never let such things as the 'fact's or the historical recrod' get in the way of 'the truth' , which as we all know is your belief alone, depending on what they are in the next five minutes. yOU know the truth, which is that you alone are enlightened with the reality of how the world should be and that those of us who refuse to go along with it because we have doubts or we believe that you are being exclusionary or bigoted too, are themselves part of the problem and the world is better off without us. If we should brook disagreement with your point of view with debate, that is 'pushing back' which your colleagues have recently written is something you should only do to the right and NEVER the left. Because you are always right, even if your wrong, you're correct. You don't live in the real world anymore than the far right do. But of course I'm a cis white male and therefore wrong about everything just for existing. I'm a racist, homophobic, priveleged asshole and therefore my opinions have no value and I should be dismissed like eveyrone else who disagrees with you. Go ahead and block me and then you can tell your friends how enlightened you are. You always do and you always will/.
