I'm inclined to think that, at least in television things, have been improving. Ryan Murphy's body of work for FX and Netflix, from Pose to Hollywood and most recently Capote Vs. The Swans shows a world for LGBTQ that we can't have imagined over the years. Much of the better work in the Arrowverse from Sara Lance to the troubled Batwoman offered a side to it, and I really thought the reboot of Tom Swift showed a lot of life. I've seen my share of brilliant portrayals of gays and lesbians in so many wonderfully joyous comedies from Abbott Elementary to Hacks and Somebody Somewhere. And I have to yell you I really want to see Andrew Scott play Ripley. I really do.
