I'm soeey. Jason Reitman director of Thank you for Smoking, Juno and Up in The Air - three of the most brilliants films of the 2000s - thinks the best way to begin the 2020S Is a tribute to Ghostbusters

I'm going against canon, but why is this movie worshipped? Was it a funny 80s comedy? Sure. So were Moonstruck, Bull Durham and The Princess Bride. Ghostbusters was never in the same league. Yet to certain people, its better than Chaplin, The Marx Brothers and Abbott and Costello combined. Why do people worship this movie? Why is remaking with females considered the equivalent of urinating on the American flag?

Jason, I'm willing to bet your father was proud of you when you got your first Oscar nomination before you were thirty. You don't need to prove anything. Go back to making smart movies, not nostalgia packs. All right, go ahead and stream
