In one of the greatest X-Files episodes in history Jose Chung From Outer Space, the teaser begins with two gray aliens emerging from a flying saucer to abduct two teenagers. Another UFO pulls up right next to theres and a giant lizard creature gets out. This creature, according to the stage directions of that genius Darin Morgan, was called Behemoth From the Planet Harryhausen. They used real camerawork but the editing was done to give the scene the APPEARANCE of stop motion. I didn't know thta until many years later but every time you see it, it makes perfect sense.

Technically this isn't a Harryhausen monster but it is a critical sign of his influence in another legendary part of pop culture. Thought it would tickle you.
