I've been reading a lot of Daily Kos fundraisers the last few months. You remember how outraged they are whenever Republicans refused to condemn white nationalists? Somehow when Republicans got university presidents together, asked them if they condemned hate speech or anti-Semitism and all fo the professors either said they wouldn't or there was no context, the left banded together and said that the university Presidents had been lured into a trap and that the Republicans had baited them.
I've been reading their articles of months. They have lots to say about how Republicans are blocking foreign aid to Ukraine. They have nothing to say about anything that is going on in the Middle East. Nothing to say about the protests on universities. They're angry the police are being called in, but they leave out what the protestors are marching about and their behavior. They love to point out every time white nationalist and right wing protestors say hate speech, but radio silence on this. Daily Kos has a way of making every single issue that goes wrong the Republicans fault or spinning it in a way to make it their problem. This is going on all around the country, in primarily blue states, and the only time they say anything about it is when a Republican professes outrage. They love to put context and details together for every single detail of their history that makes Republicans and conservatives look back - they'll go back to British Parliment. Nothing to say about what's one of the biggest stories on the news. As far as they concerned, nothing happened on October 7th, nothing is happening since then in the Middle East of itnerest to cause all of these reasons for University presidents to show up, and these protestors aren't marching about anything at all and their chants are about nothing.
Their silence - and attempt to ignore everything about this the past six months - speaks volumes about what a newslettetr that proudly labels itself Progressive really thinks. I've known their slant is design to preserve only their version of reality, but if this isn't proof of how little they want to take a position on something some of their voters MIGHT have a problem with really shows how much of a bubble they want to stay in.
