I've been writing many many articles about Bill Maher over the years, and its important to understand this. Bill Maher was never funny, ground-breaking or revolutionary. He was, what some accused Bush senior of being 'born on third base and thought he hit a triple.' Maher's routine has not changed one bit in thirty years. Remember that his 'groundbreaking late night show' was Politically Incorrect, which was basically nineties for woke. He's an incel who believes that he should be able to screw who ever he wants, a Hollywood success story who believes that Hollywood has been taken over by the left, he's a Democrat who thinks that the only think stopping Democrats from winning elections is that they don't follow the Republican platform, a comedian whose entire act is complaining about how everyone else complains is complaining too much, a libertarian who thinks that means that you should have the right to do whatever you want unless it bothers HIM, a confirmed bachelor who has decided that therefore women and children are the enemy. A man who thinks that the world is miserable and that anything we do to make ourselves feel better about it - therapy, religion, family, entertainment - is a distraction. nEED I go on. In a way I think Maher is dealing with some kind of trauma that we don't understand, but unlike those comedians who have worked through their problems through comedy or have undergone real suffering, he decided to use his act to whine about how much everybody else is whining. In short, he'd be perfect for Fox News except he doesn't believe in the whole family values message. Not because its hypocritical, but because he hates families.
