I've often thought that Joe Hill is on the verge of becoming a better writer than his father at times. I've seen it some of his works such as NOS482 and The Fireman as well as countless short stories. There have been other adaptations of Hill's work to both the small and large screen but this is the first movie that has the 'ping' of some of the best screen adaptations of his father's work. (I've written about some of them in my own articles, the lion's share referring to television.)

The entire family is gifted authors, though only Joe has chosen to follow in his father's footsteps. Tabitha, King's wife, has almost entirely followed a course of mainstream fiction and Owen has yet to pick a lane. He's collaborated with his father on a quasi-horror novel, did a mainstream novel involving movies and his most recent work takes on the level of steampunk. Neither wife nor son has had any of their books adapted to any kind of film or TV adaptation, and honestly, considering how readable and adapatable many of their works are, I find it difficult to understand why.

After years of laboring for love in my blog on TV, I have decided to expand my horizons by blogging about my great love to a new and hopefully wider field.
