Musicals have been making a comeback. I'm inclined at the moment to put the Spielberg version of West Side Story on this list. I'm going to write a longer review on this next month when I have more free time, but having had occasion to see both throughout the past month, SPielberg's version is clearly far better than the 1961 version. And this is coming from somebody who worshipped the film from when he was a child to his teenage years. I'll get to my argument in a full length article. I expect brickbats; I'll take them.

Your list is great by the way. You're going to take a lot of heat for Sound of Music, just so you know. Even the stars of the movie thought it had problems.
