So calling rural people ignorant is not bigoted? I've read some of his other articles. There are other nations interested in solving problems. But that was not the purpose of his article. His article was like so many other leftists and so called enlightened people on this blog: to vent and rant at the failures of our society and call THAT a solution.

I understand frustration at democracy. It is as Churchhill said the worst form of government except for all the others. The problem is the author - and so many people on this blog ONLY agree with the first part. I asked this man on three separate occasions if he even voted. He has yet to answer me.

I am you see for freedom of speech for everybody, even people I disagree with. I am for freedom of the press for everybody, even people I hate. And everybody gets to vote in my America, not just the people I disagree with. To be clear that's what the purpose of this article is. He made it clear in the title. Clearly if these rural people weren't ignorant they would vote the way people like him would (if they voted, again I'm not sure he does) If that's not hateful, you and I have different conceptions of the term.
