That is another one of those movies I actually really wish I saw. Roger Ebert may have been the only critic (hell, maybe person) to see that movie and he rhapsodized over in language he rarely gets too except for movies that have either brilliant visuals or profoundly moving messages and he made it clear The Fall had both. And he really liked Tarsem as a filmmaker - he may have been the only critic who would have dared put The Cell on his top ten list. I don't know what he thought of Mirror/Mirror or Immortals, but I have no doubt it disappointed him. He always hated it when directors he loved started slumming - David Gordon Green wrote and directed some truly extraordinary films. Then came Pineapple Express, Your Highness and The Sitter and that really must have come as a blow to him. Fortunately Green has recovered his gift in both film and television which I'm sure would make him happy.
