tHIS sadly plays into the conservative narrative of misogyny and patriarchy. We have to protect OUR women because they are too fragile and helpless to protect themselves without us big strong men. This was, of course, most ludicrously displayed in the ridiculous bathroom bills which are so absurdly stupid. To be clear a man is going to all of this trouble to become a woman so he can spy on them going to the bathroom. nOW I've never been in a women's bathroom but aren't the stalls all closed to begin with? (I'd ask if there's some fetish about seeing women urinating but I don't want to know the answer.) I honestly wonder in this point if conservatives are convinced that woman are engaging in plans for world domination IN THE TOILET stalls - and if that we're keeping with their nature they'd WANT more men transitioning so that they keep an eye on their enemy. Or hell, maybe they're so used to using men's rooms for sex they really think that's the only reason people would good their in the first place.

I have to say given the nature of the world, I kind of admire any man who'd want to transition to female. It's not like its exactly easy to be one if you're born that way. Even if you're feel trapped in the wrong body, it's still one that's going to get more respect than anything a female will get in America.

It comes into the fact that conservatives see everything as a zero sum game: if someone who ISN'T a white male GAINS rights, they as white males a re LOSING rights. i don't agree withcertain parts of leftist dogna but this particular theory I can only concur with. It's the only 'rational' reason, if you can call it that.
