this strikes me as just the latest variation of the left's knee jerk reaction to all things either Trumpism or anything they don't like. Because rather than do the long and hard work of forming coalitions and the kind of thing that can start political movements - the only to get any civil righs advance passed at all - they do what they always do and decided to 'protest'.

March in the street to protest the war on Terror. Camp out on Wall Street to bring about economic equality. March, shout and hash tag every cause from racial inequality to gender inequality to Gaza. Demand to burn down the power structure. Demand recognition of pronouns or terms for ethnic relations. Fight long and hard aboutevery minor thing you don't like in social media, journals, everywhere.

The Republican Party and the conservative movement have won for fifty years not because their views are popular wiht most Americans but because the left spent the better part of the aftermath of Vietnam sitting out every election from Nixon's second term to right up until Bush-Gore. The Republicans are monsters and white supremacists but they had a long-term plan and they stuck to it. They commit to bringing down the system from within. The left has decided that to spend the last half-century not voting or voting for fring candidates (i'M looking at you Nader voters), writing academic aricles, decrying both political parties as the exact same thing while decrying the formation of any political party as 'beneath them', remaINING determined to deconstruct all forms of Westerb civilization as racist and undemocratic while never suggested an alternative and endless articles on sites like this one decrying the rest of the world for not being enlightened enoguh to enjoy their way thinking.

Of course they came up with this 4b movement because it the typical leftist reaction: it doesn't solve any problems, short-term or long term, it isolates anyone who doesn't agree with them, it argues anyone who thinks this is foolish or ill-inclined as ignorant and it has the cosmetic idea of all leftist actions: it makes them feel better while not doing anything at all to solve the problem and it continues the process of the us versus them mentality. God forbid we admit that the recent election was about such things as a flawed candidate or a message that didn't work. No America like all nations is misogynistic and racist so we will punish all those we feel don't agree with us which is everybody who isn't us. The Republicans and cable news networks will seize upon it as completely absurd and another sign of the left's lunacy and because the left essentially takes any criricism as a badge of honor and even considers pushing back an offense some will keep doing it.

The only way for America to rebuild is through the long slow process of building coalitions, voting drives, talking to people who might disagree with you and trying to build common ground. Since this will take work, which the left has never wanted to do before and has exponentially increased in the age of the smartphone, they will continue to reject this idea and seize on theraputic actions that solve nothing for the nation, for the world or even for them but just make them feel like they are doing something, even if its completely misguided.

There are people on this site who know why we lost this election and what the Democratic Party has to do to rebuild in the aftermath of the defeat. I will gladly follow them because they have some idea of what needs to be done. Anyone who advocates for something liek this - and I expect dumber ideas to manifest in the weeks and months to come - I will do my best to completely ignore. I strongly advise others to do the same but I know this site and I know the world I live in. I expect some might choose to boycott me and my ideas as a result. This will depress me but it won't surprise me.
