It is right up there with arguing that the world is better with a black little mermaid, better representation for Latinx actors in TV and of course, calling Democrats as bad as Republicans because they're just trying to put the fire out on the institutions the GOP is burning down instead of acknowledge that the fire has the complete freedom to do what it wants.

The far-left is more than fine with the people it drives away, no matter how committed they are to their cause in everything they do. The left still believes that the whole reason America has moved to the right has nothing to do with the increasingly rigid attitude of the left which has now taken the point of view that it is wrong to ever push back against them. Of course, they have the freedom to push back against everyone else they disagree with and to explain the contrradiction is just a way of pushing back.

Honestly the more I see so many leftists on this blog the more I know why they're pissed at the right. It's because the right has managed to have its views became mainstrean with one political party and the left in that exact same period of time, has not. They are very good at pointing out the right's methods of takeover with their usual 20.20 hindsight but never acknowledge their own role which is that they resent any part in the political process and are not about building alliances but rather pushing people away. There's also a movement claiming they are now adrift which is a bigger joke. When you demand the entire world COME TO YOU rather than move to meet it, adrift is the default position. The left believes in purity as much as the right does but their purity forgoes involvement with the establishment. The right understands that it is only through long term political action they can achieve their goals and have done so for the last half century. The left has done every kind of action but Political in that same period and seem to chafe at the rights they have. That this movement is becoming a popular shows that for all their supposed intelligence they continue to lack common sense, which includes reading the mood of the country and the electorate., much as marching against the WTO or Occupy Wall Street or the GAza protests shows that they clearly did not.

But I'm sure I'm wrong. I'm sure this will succeed. In convincing more and more people that the left is just as crazy as ever and pushing more people away. That is the one thing the left has been good at the last half century. That and blaming everyone else for their problems
