You can't really be shocked at the blatant attitude of so many of the people here. It's the whole with us or against mentality. i ENCOUNTER them over and over, still saying theirs no difference between the two parties, saying that the people who hold elected office are therefore unqualified to lead it, saying that we are all oppressed in our society and that we have no real freedom, and that anyone who is part of the system, even those who are of the disenfranchised, can not be trust because of it. I've been reaDING thier comments and articles on this site for five years and I have no idea what they're for as a system of government. I know what they're against and what they say isn't working but they don't have any real suggestions about how they themselves would make things better.

I sometimes wonder whether those on the far-left hate the MAGA movement and the far rigth because they've acheived what they have not been able. The far right has been able to successfully brainwash an entire political party into following an exclusionary, bigoted, elitist movement and somehow the far left - despite being self-described as more educated and more enlightened - have somehow not managed to do so in a similar amount of time. The same resources to corrupt the system have been just as available to the far left movements as the far right has. And they didn't pop up overnight as they love to tell us over and over again.

Why didn't THEY come up with a Fox News, why don't we have a CATO Foundation or a federalist society, why haven't THEY corrupted one of the political parties so its members follow us blindly, why don't THEY have a leader that has followers that would be willing overthrow democracy for us? Do they ever ask those questrions late at night? Or do they still believe that being in the arena or involved yourself in the messy work of democracy, which involves all the things they loathe, would force them to get off their ivory towers and engage with the rest of soicety where they might find out that their views aren't really as popular outside their circle as they think they are OR admit that for a ll their supposed intelligence, they have no common sense about the outside world beyond their bubbles on social media?

I have my suspicions. But I've given up waitiing for them to confirm. Their silence I should say has always spoken volumes.
